Business Development Rep (BC Market)

Introduction

Like every startup, this is a demanding role that will wear many hats. You will be responsible for signing up new corporate clients and managing their accounts ensuring repeat transactions. You will be responsible for delivering the Porter experience to every person you impact, both internally and externally.

Position

- Develop the territory by identifying and qualifying prospects to build pipeline
- Aggressively drive deal progression – Sales Qualified Leads through close
- Manage the pipeline and bookings forecast; direct report to CEO
- Work with sales colleagues to build and execute up-sell opportunities across the product suite.
- Engage and build a growth team across Canada
- Become proficient in using Porter’s platform and service offerings
- Execute on-site and web-based product demos
- Demonstrate effective presentation and communication skills, while following company branding and messaging
- Meet face-to-face with clients, identify the buying process, key players, and compelling events that will lead to closed sales
- Develop reference accounts and leverage these to land and expand
- Meet or exceed annual sales quota; daily updates to company CRM system
- Provide accurate and timely quarterly forecasts on a weekly basis
- Travel up to 50% of the time
- Must reside within BC
- Maintain and build trusted executive level client relationships
- Provide input for marketing initiatives
- Work collaboratively with Inside sales counterparts
- Execute on tactical sales plays
- Become an expert in inbound/outbound prospecting and learn all you need to know about customer outreach.
- Communicate with potential clients to grasp a deeper understanding of their business needs and educate them on how we can help.
- Use your good nature wit and charm to build new relationships and sell our products.
- Provide planning and on-site support when we attend conferences, networking events, trade shows, workshops and lunch & learns.
- Meet and/or exceed monthly performance targets for number of outbound calls, qualified sales opportunities, and new business created.
- Create a great first impression to our prospects by providing them with a world class experience.
- Update prospect database with conversations, competitive information, company size, decision making criteria and other relevant information.
- Help one of Vancouver’s fastest growing startups surpass revenue and growth targets

- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Work may require significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid drivers license.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
